26 aniversario de la caída del Muro de Berlín 

26th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall

En abril de 1989 tuve la oportunidad de viajar a Berlín junto a un grupo de estudiantes de alemán de las universidades de Nord Rhein Westfalia. El objetivo del viaje era hacer un curso intensivo de la cultura alemana. Berlín era el punto de fricción de la Guerra Fría y me di a la tarea de hacer un registro del Muro de Berlín. No sabía que en 6 meses iba a caer. El trabajo fue hecho en negativo blanco y negro de 6x6 cm y 35 mm.

En 2011, 23 años después de estos acontecimientos, la galería de Arte Cubo 7 en Caracas, a cargo de Andrés Manner y Gabriel Osorio, decidió hacer una curaduría de 27 motivos y montar una exhibición titulada Grietas Invisibles. Los negativos escogidos pertenecen a las tomas hechas durante una semana de abril de 1989. La muestra ha tenido my buena acogida y ha sido solicitada para ser mostrada en la Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (2012), el Centro de Bellas Artes en Maracaibo (2012) y en la Asociación Cultural Humboldt (2013). La muestra ha sido objeto de varias reseñas en distintos medios impresos.

In April 1989 I had the opportunity to travel to Berlin with a group of  students from universities from  the North Rhine region of Westphalia.  The purpose of the trip was to do a crash course in German culture. Berlin was the sticking point of the Cold War and I gave myself the task of making a record of the Berlin Wall. I did not know that  6 months later it would fall. The work was made  using both 6x6 cm and 35mm negatives in black and white. 

In 2011, 23 years after these events, Cube 7 Gallery in Caracas, orgainised an exhibition titled 'Latent Fissures'. Curated by  Andres Manner and Gabriel Osorio, the show exhibited 27 of the Berlin negatives. The chosen negatives belong to the shots taken during one week in April 1989. The exhibition  was shown at the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (2012), the Fine Arts Center in Maracaibo (2012) and the Humboldt Cultural Association (2013). The show has been the subject of several well received reviews in the national press.
